Sublimation Print Head-How to Maintain it in Daily Use?

The sublimation print head is the most vulnerable device in the whole sublimation digital inkjet printer.Only pay attention to the maintenance in daily use, that it can extend the service life of the print head. So, how do we maintain the print head?

For best results, clean the print head every time you use it. Note: when cleaning the print head, remove the ring to avoid scratching the print head, and use a grounding metal strip or anti-static pad to prevent static damage to the print head. Turn off the power first and open the print head. Brush the mechanical part of the printer with cotton cloth soaked with 70% alcohol or gently blow away the floating dust. Do not use any hard metal or frayed tools (such as screwdrivers) to mess with the print head contaminants. Don't use the cotton swab if it's dirty.

Factors cause premature damage to the print head

Scratch: sublimation transfer paper will wear away the protective coating near the nozzle through the movement cross the print head for a long time, exposing the needle and eventually being damaged by friction. To avoid scratch, we need to clean the print head frequently and use a high quality, smooth and preferably double-coated thermal transfer paper to reduce friction. And do the following:
(1) Reduce as far as possible the printing head pressure and printing temperature.
(2) Ensure that the paper is flat and not warped, to prevent the print head is scratched by sublimation paper.
(3) When putting into the transfer paper, the paper should be laid flat, without wrinkles, in case of scraping to the print head.
(5) Some print heads can be protected by a film specially designed to protect them from wear and tear.
