Dye sublimation ink will change under the circumstances of climate change. When winter comes, the temperature changes greatly.so there will be some problems, the specific situation is not the same, but mostly caused by the cold and dry climate.
Effect of temperature
The viscosity of sublimation ink increases as the temperature decreases, making the flow worse. This will damage nozzle internal piezoelectric ceramics caused by the nozzle fatigue, resulting in frequent ink break phenomenon.
Suggestion:
1.Install a temperature control device at the bottom plate of the nozzle to change the temperature, or install a temperature control device at the secondary cartridge and the main ink barrel to change the temperature.
2.Keep the indoor print temperature between 20 and 28 degrees through air conditioning equipment.
When faced with the problem of ink thickening, some users will use thinner to dilute the ink, or ink oil to adjust the viscosity of ink. My advice is that it is best not to do so. Ink thickens in winter because of changes in temperature that cause it to change its fluidity, not because of changes in the nature of the ink itself. If the use of thinner or ink oil, it will change the basic performance of ink, which will affect the quality of printing, the picture quality will be greatly reduced.
So if the temperature is causing the ink to thicken, if you want to make it smooth again, we still use the following methods:
One is to put the original ink on a radiator or warm indoor, make it slowly warming gradually restored to its original state.
Second, emergency use of boiling water for external heating. Concrete method is to put the boiled water into the basin, then put the ink bottle in the water, but to prevent vapor into. Stay to around 27 ℃ and then take out, open it and stir well, then it can be used. The temperature of the workshop need to keep around 27 ℃.
Humidity effect
Winter temperatures are low, and whether it's because of heating or air conditioning, relative humidity drops and the air becomes dry. This will have a big impact on the ink and print heads.
First of all, high static electricity in the dry environment, there is a greater harm to the equipment, the use of ink in the process is also prone to serious phenomena such as flying ink. Secondly, when the air is dry, the volatilization speed will be accelerated, and the ink on the nozzle surface will dry quickly, causing the nozzle clogging. In the printing process, it is easy to appear as flying ink, frequent wire breakage and oblique spraying, etc. If you do not pay attention to the maintenance of the nozzle, it may damage the nozzle. Therefore, not only in winter, when we use the printer in daily life, we should pay attention to maintain the humidity in the workshop, should not be too dry, maintain the relative humidity of the room in 50-70%, which can effectively extend the service life of printing ink and printer nozzle.
